Enterprise and Central Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Hornets will face off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Enterprise is headed out to face Central Valley after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Hornets skirted past Trinity 9-8.
Carly Graham was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Hess, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Central Valley and Orland, and Central Valley kept the tradition alive. The Falcons blew past the Trojans 12-2 on Monday. Joleen Short made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. In other batting news, Savannah Beckman was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Hazel Chavez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Central Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orland only posted an OBP of .190.
Enterprise couldn't quite get it done against Central Valley when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 12-9. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
