After flying high against Heavener last Friday, Panama came back down to earth. The Razorbacks took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilburton Diggers on Friday. The loss put an end to the Razorbacks' undefeated start to the season.
Jason Wilkett was nothing short of spectacular for Wilburton: he rushed for 249 yards and three scores while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Wilkett has posted since back in October of 2024.
Having lost for the first time this season, Panama fell to 2-1. As for Wilburton, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
Panama and Wilburton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Razorbacks are set to take on their familiar foe Chouteau-Mazie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilburton will square off against rival Atoka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
