The Langley Saxons will take on the Riverside Ram at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Langley has five straight wins, Riverside has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Langley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Wakefield 17-2 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Saxons, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Norah Jacques was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 17 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mina Britt was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliet Sayers, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Langley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wakefield only posted an OBP of .095.
Lightridge hit Riverside with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ram fell 7-3 to the Lightning.
Jaiden McCallum was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Langley's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Langley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Riverside struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Langley skirted past Riverside 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Do the Saxons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ram turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
