After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hardaway, the Northside Patriots were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-58 win over Northgate. The win was all the more spectacular given Northside's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Vikings are ranked 137th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zariah Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Northside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Thomas, who scored 22 points.
Northgate's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Randria Wilcher, who scored 20 points along with five steals, and DeAsia Stinson who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Stinson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Arnold, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
