The Round Valley Elks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the American Leadership Academy - West Foothills Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Round Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Blue Ridge, taking the game 24-14.
Round Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Gauge Baker, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and Ryker Marble, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy - West Foothills stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 49-8 victory over Dysart. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point American Leadership Academy - West Foothills had established a 35 point advantage.
Marquez Smith had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 167 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Smith was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
Round Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for American Leadership Academy - West Foothills, their win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
