The Holyoke Dragons lost against the Simla Cubs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Holyoke received a tough blow as they fell 64-45 to Simla. While losing is never fun, Holyoke can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Simla is ranked fourth).
Holyoke lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cash Weber, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Weber, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Holyoke's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Simla, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Holyoke will face off against Sedgwick County at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Simla won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Merino at 3:30 p.m. on December 9th.
