The Laurel Bulldogs's 16-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Seaford by a score of 56-53. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laurel in their matchups with Seaford: they've now lost eight in a row.
Kashmier Wise continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Seaford, scoring 32 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wise has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Jackson, who scored six points.
Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Seaford, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel will take on Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Early College is ranked 43rd, while Laurel is ranked 45th). As for Seaford, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Wilmington Friends at 2:15 p.m.
