It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mira Mesa can now relate to. They were beaten by the Valley Center Jaguars 56-29 on Friday. On the bright side, the 29- point performance marked the Marauders' highest-scoring game to date.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joeisha Ryan Tirado, who rushed for 217 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Those 217 rushing yards gave Ryan Tirado a new career-high. Braylon Mitchell was another key passer, throwing for 232 yards and four TDs.

Mira Mesa has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Valley Center, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Mira Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Center, they will square off against La Jolla Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
