In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Seminole made off with a 39-38 victory over St. Petersburg. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Seminole.
Laney Pearson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Seminole's points. Another player making a difference was Devon Swartz, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Seminole's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for St. Petersburg, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Petersburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for they, they will challenge Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Hopefully Seminole focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
