Lead-Deadwood will look to defend their home turf on Friday against McLaughlin at 6:00 PM. McLaughlin will need to watch out since Lead-Deadwood have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Lead-Deadwood put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Saturday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Bennett County 57-7. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-7.
Meanwhile, McLaughlin have to be aching after a bruising 6-36 loss to Little Wound. This makes it the second loss in a row for McLaughlin.
Lead-Deadwood's victory lifted them to 5-1 while McLaughlin's defeat dropped them down to 3-2. In Lead-Deadwood's victory, junior Jordy Stulken picked up 76 yards on the ground and snatched 2 receiving TDs and junior Max Johnson rushed for 55 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see if McLaughlin have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
