After soaring to 64 points the game before, Cumberland faltered in their matchup on Friday. They were given a punishing 0-42 loss at the hands of Spooner. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cumberland of the 20-62 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.
Next week Cumberland take on Ladysmith at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games. Spooner will look to defend their home turf against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 7:00 PM. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Spooner's good fortune.
