The Buffalo Bison won the last time they faced the Clay County Panthers, and things went their way on Monday too. Buffalo took down Clay County 57-43.
Buffalo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Asher Flanery out in front who scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jackson Mallett, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Buffalo's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6. As for Clay County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will take on Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clay County, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Webster County at 7:30 p.m. Webster County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Clay County likes a good challenge.
