After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marathon, the Redland Christian Academy FALCONS were happy to have found some success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-58 win over Colonial Christian. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Redland Christian Academy's 23-point performance the contest before.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Gomez, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Gomez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ari Espinosa was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The win got Redland Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Colonial Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Redland Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Colonial Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Colonial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. As for they, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m.
