Softball Recap: Basile Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Basile waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Elizabeth Bulldogs as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Basile's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Elizabeth, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basile will venture away from home to square off against Grand Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elizabeth, they will head out to challenge Lake Charles College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trailblazers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.83 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
