It was a good run, but  Connersville unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-match winning streak on Saturday. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-11,  25-22.
 Kendyl Bottomley paced Connersville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bottomley got some help from  Keagan Ritter and her 23 assists. Ritter was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
 Greenwood Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to  Kate Reed, who  had 15  digs and five  assists. That's the most  digs  Reed has posted  over her last eight  matchups.
Connersville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-12.
 The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Connersville and Jay County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will challenge Eminence at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
