The Lincoln High Links had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 64-59 win over Fremont on Saturday. With that win, Lincoln High brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Lincoln High found their leader in underclassman Brady Nick, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Carson Salsman was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Maurice Bryant, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Colin Ridder, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Lincoln High's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Fremont, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln High will take on Millard South at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Millard South is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Fremont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lincoln Southeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
