The Northeastern Clinton Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against AuSable Valley as Northeastern Clinton made off with a 80-58 win. With that victory, Northeastern Clinton brought their scoring average up to 53.1 points per game.
Jordan Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Northeastern Clinton's points. Logen Magoon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Northeastern Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for AuSable Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Northeastern Clinton will head out on the road to face off against Saranac Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Saranac Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. As for AuSable Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beekmantown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Beekmantown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
