The Foothill Cougars's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They greeted the New Year with with a 45-31 win over Enterprise. For Foothill, this counts as revenge for the 56-43 loss Enterprise walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asa Arnold, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Cade Memeo, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Enterprise had strong showings from Wes Ramirez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds, and Dashawn Townsend, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. The game was Ramirez's 13th in a row with at least ten points.
Enterprise struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Foothill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20 points. As for Enterprise, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
Foothill will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Enterprise, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chico at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Chico focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
