The Queen's Grant Stallions had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Grace Academy 84-61. The victory was just what Queen's Grant needed coming off of a 84-40 defeat in their prior match.
Garrett Morgan was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with seven steals. Kenston Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 27 points along with two steals.
The victory got Queen's Grant back to even at 12-12. As for Grace Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Queen's Grant won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. One thing working in Piedmont Community Charter's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 contests. As for Grace Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Charlotte Lab School is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
