Woodward Academy  took care of business in their home opener  on Saturday. They snuck past the Morrow Mustangs with  a  61-57 victory. The War Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.
  Lauryn Dennis-Cooper had a dynamite game for Woodward Academy,  as she made all 5 shots she took racking up 16 points plus seven  rebounds and four  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Delaney Cooper, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and nine  rebounds.
 Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodward Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Galloway at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Morrow, they will welcome Westlake  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
