6A Mt. Hood recap Oct. 16, 2012
Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in 6A Mt. Hood this week by beating Douglas, 21-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Rams.
Barlow made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,026 from 6,673. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 14-10 victory over the Bruins last week.
Reynolds' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. JOSH SCHLEINING has thrown for 1939 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while CALEB CHAVEZ has 53 catches for 729 yards. DEMONTRIAL SPINKS leads the league in rushing with 584 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against Gresham, SCHLEINING is short just 61 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Gophers take on the Raiders. Gresham is in first place, while Reynolds is in third place.
