The Campo Verde Coyotes stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Casa Grande, posting a 59-20 victory on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Campo Verde.
Kelsey Watts continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 21 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Coger, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Campo Verde has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Casa Grande, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campo Verde will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Higley is ranked 71st, while the Coyotes are ranked 52nd). As for Casa Grande, they will head out on the road to challenge the Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Casteel focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
