Drew Brown was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The Classical Academy also got a significant boost from Riley Romine, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.
The Classical Academy wouldn't let Eaton keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Andrew Borchert, Matthew Wright, and Jackson Smetana picked up one apiece. Borchert also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.
Meanwhile, Florence had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by Kent Denver 40-0.
Everything came up roses for The Classical Academy against Florence when the teams last played back in October of 2017 as the team secured a 50-0 win.
