The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Highlands Latin in their matchups with Christian Educational Consortium: they've now lost four in a row.
Christian Educational Consortium found their leader in underclassman Jenna Wyndham, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Erin Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Highlands Latin has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Christian Educational Consortium, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highlands Latin will face off against Shawnee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawnee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Highlands Latin in Kentucky (Shawnee is ranked 92nd, while Highlands Latin is ranked 211th). As for Christian Educational Consortium, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
