Desert View is 2-8 against Flowing Wells since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Desert View will host Flowing Wells at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Flowing Wells will be up against a hot Desert View team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Desert View never let Pueblo get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Thursday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Jorge Zazueta was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Zazueta was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Orlando Pinedo, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Joshua Valenzuela was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flowing Wells). They blew past Rincon/University 14-4 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Caballeros as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Yandel Rios-Arvayo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Flowing Wells' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-9-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Padilla, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Flowing Wells' victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for Desert View, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
Flowing Wells' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Desert View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .489. It's a different story for Flowing Wells, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Desert View's hitters?
Desert View came up short against Flowing Wells in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, falling 11-6. Can Desert View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
