The Wicksburg Panthers lost against the Zion Chapel Rebels back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Wicksburg was the victim of a tough 68-47 defeat at the hands of Zion Chapel. Wicksburg has struggled against Zion Chapel recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Zion Chapel to victory were Slade Grantham and Jacob Chestnut. Grantham scored 20 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds, while Chestnut scored 30 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Grantham has scored at least 25% of Zion Chapel's points. Another player making a difference was Brodie Stinson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Wicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Zion Chapel, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Wicksburg will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. As for Zion Chapel, they will head out on the road to face off against Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Luverne will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
