The Greater Johnstown Trojans took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They blew past Penn Cambria 70-40 at home. With Greater Johnstown ahead 46-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Greater Johnstown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donte Tisinger , who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Jahmir Collins, who scored 18 points.
Penn Cambria lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brandon Rabish, who scored ten points. Preston Farabaugh was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Greater Johnstown's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Penn Cambria, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Johnstown will challenge Clearfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clearfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 544th, while Greater Johnstown is ranked 46th). As for Penn Cambria, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
