Given Rockwall-Heath's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Reedy is ranked 614th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rockwall-Heath found their leader in underclassman Ryan Hampton, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hampton has scored at least 25% of Rockwall-Heath's points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Smith, who scored 10 points.
Rockwall-Heath's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Reedy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Rockwall-Heath will face off against Grand Prairie at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Reedy, they will head out on the road to face off against Forney at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forney comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
