The Sharyland Rattlers lost against the McAllen Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sharyland was dealt a 72-45 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Sharyland has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McAllen to victory, but perhaps none more so than D'aundre Canada, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Judah Rios was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Sharyland dropped their record down to 8-18 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for McAllen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season.
Sharyland will be playing in front of their home fans against the Diamondbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pioneer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for McAllen, they will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1176th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 343rd).
