Baseball Recap: Flora Extends Winning Streak to Three

Flora extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 5-8 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Fairfield Mules. Three seems to be a good number for the Wolves as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Fairfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs.

For Fairfield's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Easton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flora will head out to challenge Farina South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Carmi-White County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
