The Sky View Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 65-56 to Ridgeline. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sky View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Macade Rolle, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Zachary Oxborrow, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Carson Cox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ridgeline, scoring 31 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cox has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Blotter, who scored seven points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Sky View has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Ridgeline, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Sky View will head out on the road to square off against Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Green Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Ridgeline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Mountain Crest is ranked 36th, while Ridgeline is ranked 24th).
