Northview is a perfect 10-0 against Greencastle since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will welcome the Tiger Cubs at 5:30 p.m. This will be Northview's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
Northview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They skirted past Martinsville 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Derek Morrison was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That run marked the first that he scored this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Pierce, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Lewis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Greencastle made sure to put some runs up on the board against White River Valley on Monday. The Tiger Cubs put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 20-1 win. With that victory, the Tiger Cubs brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.
Sam Gooch and Nathan Sutherlin did most of the damage at the plate: Gooch scored five runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5, while Sutherlin went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Gooch has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dillion Hughes, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Greencastle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Greencastle's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Northview, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Northview took their win against Greencastle when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tiger Cubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
