If the Chandler Wolves were feeling good off their 65-31 takedown of the Basha Bears last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Chandler fell just short of Perry by a score of 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chandler lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Karis Hurd, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jesminda Garcia, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Chandler's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Chandler won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hamilton is on a four-game streak of home wins, Chandler a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Perry will take on Xavier College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
