Byron had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Winona Winhawks. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Winhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Byron's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Winona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Byron will square off against Lourdes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Winona, they will challenge Mankato West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
