Basketball Recap: Forest City Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Forest City hadn't done well against Bishop Garrigan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Forest City Indians put the hurt on the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears with a sharp 63-37 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Forest City pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.6 points. As for Bishop Garrigan, their defeat ended a 21-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-3.

Forest City and Bishop Garrigan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Forest City will challenge Lake Mills at 6:15 p.m. on Friday up 116 places (23 vs. 139). Similarly, Bishop Garrigan (ranked 32nd) will meet West Hancock (ranked 186th) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
