After flying high against the Stem Preparatory Academy The Chargers last Friday, the LEAD Academy Panthers came back down to earth. LEAD Academy took a hard 83-69 fall against Pearl-Cohn on Tuesday. LEAD Academy has not had much luck with Pearl-Cohn recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why LEAD Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Petway. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five assists. Petway is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Brandon Fields was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
LEAD Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Pearl-Cohn, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-9.
LEAD Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pearl-Cohn, they will head out on the road to take on Station Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearl-Cohn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Station Camp likes a good challenge.
