1A-2 Region I District 4 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Ralls was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 1A-2 Region I District 4. The Jack Rabbits defeated Lubbock Christian 23-14 earlier in the week.
Ralls moved up to 719 from 856 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tim James's team climbed the ranks as a result of a 23-14 win over the Eagles.
Smyer's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. BobbyJoe Boggs has thrown for 162 yards this season, while Alex Escobedo has two catches for 86 yards. Johnny Paiz leads the league in rushing with 194 yards.
The Jack Rabbits made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,689 from 9,374. The advance stemmed from a 23-14 victory over Lubbock Christian last week.
