Lebanon is 9-1 against Station Camp since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Bison at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Lebanon is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Thursday. They lost 15-6 to Wilson Central.
Amiyah Hodge was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run. Another player making a difference was Sadie Mosley, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Station Camp fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Abingdon on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 18-11. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked the Bison's highest-scoring contest to date.
Avery Wales made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those triples were her first of the season. Cali Boyette was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Station Camp's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Lebanon's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Blue Devils have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Station Camp, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lebanon continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Lebanon's way against Station Camp in their previous matchup back in March, as Lebanon made off with an 8-1 win. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
