Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victor Valley). They came out on top against the Apple Valley Sun Devils by a score of 78-67 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Jackrabbits who have now won three matchups in a row.

Victor Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but IASIAH BUTLER led the charge by going 9 of 16 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of KEVEN WALLACE, who went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points.

Trey Germany and Jeremiah Wilkerson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Germany almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards, while Wilkerson almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. Those 25 points gave Germany a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Rae, who posted six points.

Victor Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Apple Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victor Valley will head out to face off against Yucaipa at 6:45 p.m. on December 20th. As for Apple Valley, they will challenge Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
