The Founders Classical Academy Hoplites will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the IDEA Monterrey Park College Prep Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Founders Classical Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Founders Classical Academy made easy work of IDEA Judson College Prep and carried off an 18-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hoplites.

Luke McCaw made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Aiden Loyless was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. John Spalding was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Founders Classical Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, IDEA Monterrey Park College Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Founders Classical Academy last Tuesday.

Founders Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for IDEA Monterrey Park College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Founders Classical Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over IDEA Monterrey Park College Prep in their previous matchup last Tuesday, winning 8-4. Do the Hoplites have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
