Jesse James Gonzalez Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Robertson picked up their seventh consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Jesse James Gonzalez. Gonzalez showed up in a big way, rushing for 189 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 93 yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (112). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Unfortunately for Pojoaque Valley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Gonzalez. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Gonzalez saw the Elks/Elkettes), he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 234 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

While Hope Christian might've come up empty on Saturday, Krew Ward wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Ward as he rushed for nine yards.
Hope Christian now has a losing record at 3-4. Ward and Hope Christian will head out on the road to square off against Pojoaque Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Robertson Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Paul Duran
Paul Duran was instrumental in extending Robertson's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Duran turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 32 yards and a touchdown.
This season, Duran has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 24.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 14.43 rushing yards per game.

Breylon Willams Makes It Two for Hope Christian
The second Hope Christian player making an appearance here is Breylon Willams, and for good reason. He picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.
On the year, Willams has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 116.6 receiving yards per game.
