Bellevue took the contest and then some with a 49-12 victory on Friday over Northeast. Followers of Bellevue probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected seven blowout victories.
Bellevue got off to a slow start in their matchup last week, but they had no such trouble against Northeast as they cruised to a 27-point first half. Northeast countered with 12 points, leaving the score at 27-12 going into the half. Bellevue put the game away in the third quarter with 22 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. They added further sheen to their flawless record, now 8-0. Northeast are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-8.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Bellevue take on Cascade at 7:00 PM. As for Northeast, they will face off against North Cedar.
