After a string of four wins, The Rock Hill Bearcats''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 58-21 loss at the hands of Clover. Rock Hill lost against Clover in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-34 score last time.
It was another big night for Landon Stone, who rushed for 197 yards while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Stone hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for nine straight games.
Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Clover, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will take on Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spartanburg will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Clover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Clover is ranked 16th).
