Teague extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Carter Stacks. The Lions came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against the Groesbeck Goats for which the team can thank Stacks, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Jayden Brown, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 21 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Teague's points.

Teague's record now sits at 11-4. As for Groesbeck, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 12-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teague will host Mexia at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Groesbeck, they will be playing at home against Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Goats will be up against the Bison's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.96 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
