Lincoln Southwest is 4-0 against the Discoverers since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Columbus Discoverers at 5:45 p.m. Lincoln Southwest will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Lincoln Southwest's game was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 41-34 victory over Gretna East.
It was another big night for Kennadi Williams, who scored 18 points along with three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Brenly Noerrlinger was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Columbus was able to grind out a solid victory over the Vikings on Friday, taking the game 57-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Columbus.
Lincoln Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Columbus, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Lincoln Southwest beat the Discoverers 34-21 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Does Lincoln Southwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Discoverers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
