On Wednesday, Yavneh Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Golda Och Academy 44-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Yavneh Academy.
Yavneh Academy was led to victory by Joe Schwartz and Darren Sacher. Schwartz scored 10 points, while Sacher dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Sacher is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Max Fisherov, who scored 6 points.
Yavneh Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Golda Och Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Yavneh Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Beth Tfiloh at 4:00 p.m. on November 30th. Golda Och Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Grove at 4:00 p.m. on December 14th.
