Lewis is 0-6 against Forest Park since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lewis Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Forest Park Foresters at 5:00 p.m. Lewis comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, Lewis was beaten by Patterson 69-10.
Meanwhile, Forest Park came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Douglass 90-7 on the road. Forest Park has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.
Forest Park found their leader in underclassman India Watkins, who scored 17 points. It was the first time this season that Watkins scored 15 or more points. Shakira Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lewis dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Forest Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.
Lewis was taken down by Forest Park 89-6 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lewis was down 57-0.
