Briarwood Academy had a senior duo take command as Kennedy Mosley dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 rebounds and Caroline Stapleton dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mosley has scored at least a third of Briarwood Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Branan, who scored seven points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Piedmont Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marissa Holder. Despite the final result, she scored 35 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 52.2% of Piedmont Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Teagan Satterfield was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and two steals.
Briarwood Academy's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Piedmont Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.
