The Johnson County Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 75-38 loss at the hands of Pine Lake Prep. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Johnson County has scored all season.
Robert Magner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pine Lake Prep, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Braden Gower, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Johnson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Pine Lake Prep, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Johnson County is on the road again on Saturday and play against Volunteer at 10:30 a.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Volunteer is ranked 350th, while Johnson County is ranked 330th). Pine Lake Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Davidson at 2:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023.
