Canon-McMillan is 0-8 against Seneca Valley since May of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Big Macs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Canon-McMillan's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Butler. The Big Macs haven't had any issues with the Golden Tornado recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Brooke Bumer, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Butler off the board. Bumer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sophia Carl was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Shirdon, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Canon-McMillan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Butler only posted a batting average of .125.
Meanwhile, Seneca Valley faced Hempfield Area in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Raiders skirted past the Spartans 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won three games in a row.
Lexie Hames spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 18 Ks.
On the hitting side, Seneca Valley's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Neve Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Seneca Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Canon-McMillan, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Canon-McMillan hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Seneca Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
